Marylin Calderon is a passionate and dedicated forensic science professional with a strong academic background and a deep interest in DNA forensic analysis. She began her academic journey by earning an associate degree in General Studies from Ocean County College, and went on to complete her bachelor’s in Forensic Science at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Throughout her studies, she has demonstrated a remarkable ability to quickly learn new skills and solve complex problems—qualities that make her a valuable contributor in both independent and team-based settings.
Marylin is especially excited to be interning at the CFSRE, where she looks forward to gaining meaningful hands-on experience in forensic biology. The opportunity to work with advanced techniques and technologies in a real-world lab setting aligns perfectly with her long-term goal of working in a crime laboratory. Eager to learn from experienced professionals in the field, Marylin sees this internship as an important step in turning her passion for forensic science into a purposeful career.
