Jade Scaptura is an undergraduate biology major with a minor in forensic chemistry student. Currently studying at Keuka College, she is passionate about applying forensic science to criminal investigations. After taking courses such as genetics, cell and molecular biology, organic chemistry and modern lab techniques, she obtained both knowledge and skills that will allow her to pursue a career as a crime laboratory technician. Through Keuka College, she has participated in ongoing research in forensic odontology as well as forensic anthropology, focusing on building a database for the Keuka College skeletal remains collection. Eager to continue learning, Jade is excited to participate in the forensic biology summer internship at the CFSRE.
