Ethan Lee is an undergraduate molecular and cell biology major with a deep passion for forensic analysis. Having recently graduated with a Bachelor's of Science from the University of California San Diego, Ethan is intrigued with exploring the crossroads between science and the legal system. The idea of exploring the application of biological concepts to the more investigative side of criminalistics has fueled his interest in the field. Provided his coursework in biological and biochemical labs along with experience in researching the molecular mechanisms of E.coli bacteria, he has gained a strong foundation of fundamental lab techniques and procedures.

Outside of class, Ethan also participated in STEM and volunteer outreach programs as a committee member in the biological honors society known as "BioScholars." In pursuit of a career as a forensic analyst, he has gained experience as a volunteer/intern at his local law enforcement agencies, including Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, where he has closely worked with the Forensic Biology units. As a means of furthering his experience and exposure to forensic work, Ethan is looking forward to a summer full of learning with the biology internship at the CFSRE.
