Dasha Hammond is an undergraduate Chemistry major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a strong interest in scientific research and real-world laboratory applications. As a USOAR Summer Research Student, she gained hands-on experience in experimental design, data analysis, and critical thinking.

Her early exposure to forensic science came through the Forensic Sciences Mentoring Institute, where she applied techniques in toxicology, chemistry, and biology to solve a simulated crime—an experience that sparked her passion for the field. Dasha continues to build on this foundation through active involvement in campus organizations such as the NAACP, Chemistry Club, and Pan African Society.

Eager to deepen her expertise, Dasha is excited to further explore forensic chemistry through her upcoming experience at the Center for Forensic Science Research & Education (CFSRE). She looks forward to growing her skills, expanding her knowledge, and making meaningful contributions as she advances in her academic and professional journey.
