Intern

Christina is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut, majoring in Biology with minors in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Crime and Justice. She is particularly interested in Forensic Serology and Pathology, aiming to build a career grounded in the application of scientific principles to promote justice and serve the greater good. Through comprehensive studies in biology, chemistry, and physics, Christina has cultivated a sound academic foundation essential for a career in forensic science. Aside from academics, Christina has volunteered with the American Red Cross, where she gained valuable experience in crisis response and collaborative teamwork in high-pressure environments. She also engaged in ecological research at the University of Connecticut, where she acquired hands-on laboratory experience and deepened her understanding of scientific inquiry. She also enjoys endurance races, including completing half marathons and a triathlon with her friends. Christina is excited for the biology summer internship at the CFSRE and looks forward to learning the important foundations of forensic science.
