Intern
Victoria Gallagher is an undergraduate Forensic Chemistry student with a minor in Computer Science at the University of Mississippi. Victoria is deeply interested in the role of modern technology in criminal investigations, particularly in combining her knowledge of forensics and computer science to analyze and interpret digital evidence.
Through coursework in toxicology, chemistry, and computer science, Victoria has built a solid foundation for pursuing a career in digital forensics. She hopes to continue to grow her knowledge through hands-on laboratory experience, research opportunities, and professional development within the forensic chemistry community. Outside of classes, Victoria has also worked on research projects involving astrochemistry, studying how molecules in space interact differently based on their configurations.
Throughout her chemistry internship, Victoria has gained valuable knowledge and experience by processing mock casework, utilizing various laboratory instruments, and participating in moot court. These experiences have strengthened her analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills while reinforcing her commitment to and love for forensic science.
