Intern

Natasha Chaillou is a rising senior at Eastern University, where she is majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Forensic Chemistry. Throughout her studies, she has enjoyed taking a wide range of chemistry courses including organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and instrumental analysis, with a heavy focus on GC-MS. She loves gaining hands-on experience in the lab and learning about various analytical techniques.

Along with gaining her bachelor's degree at Eastern University, she is part of their 4+1 Forensic Chemistry Master's program with Temple University. Natasha has already begun taking some master's courses including data analysis and evidence and investigative chemistry. Her education has strengthened her passion for forensics and helped give her the necessary tools to have an impact in the forensic chemistry world.

Her favorite part of the internship was getting to work a mock case “cradle to grave.” It was extremely helpful for her to practice all the necessary skills needed to work in forensic drug chemistry. She is excited to finish her degree and begin the next steps toward her career.
