Intern
Megan Clardy is a rising senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she is majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry and a minor in forensic science. Throughout her studies, she has enjoyed taking a wide range of chemistry courses including organic chemistry, biochemistry, instrumental analysis, and forensic chemistry. She has enjoyed gaining hands-on experience in the lab and learning about the incredible world of science.
Alongside her classes, her experience includes performing research in her lab at UNCW, interning with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office crime lab, and interning as a toxicologist at the CFSRE. Through her experience she has demonstrated her knowledge of analytical techniques, an ability to work as a team, and a willingness to step into leadership roles when needed.
Her passion has grown as she continues to learn how her love of chemistry and criminal justice combine into the amazing field of forensics. She is so excited to apply her knowledge at CFSRE and continue growing in the field of forensic science.
