Mackenzie Zupko is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Forensic Science and Biology at Stevenson University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York, in 2024.

Mackenzie works as a Medical Technician with the New York State Office of Mental Health Clinical Laboratories, where she has developed a strong foundation in laboratory techniques and scientific analysis. This summer, she successfully completed the Forensic Biology Internship at the Center for Forensic Science Research & Education (CFSRE), where she gained valuable hands-on experience with forensic laboratory methods, evidence processing, DNA analysis techniques, and real-world forensic casework while working alongside experienced forensic scientists.

Passionate about applying her scientific background to forensic investigations, Mackenzie is excited to continue building her technical skills, expanding her knowledge of forensic biology, and collaborating with professionals in the field as she prepares for a career in forensic science.
