Kayla Peek is a recent graduate from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in forensic science. Building upon an academic foundation that includes genetics, molecular biology, and forensic science coursework, she also has a background in criminal justice from her two years at community college.
Throughout her time at CFSRE, Kayla has gained proficiency with the step-by-step process of DNA analysis and a variety of specialized laboratory instruments.
Her passion for forensic science started in high school, and now she aims to further her education with a focus on forensic biology. With these skills, she plans to pursue a career as a DNA analyst at a crime laboratory.
