Dominic Evangelista is an undergraduate biochemistry, chemistry, and forensic and toxicological chemistry triple major at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He is interested in the fields of toxicology and pharmaceuticals, with a strong focus on understanding how drugs, chemicals, and biological samples are analyzed in laboratory and forensic settings.

Through hands-on experience with techniques such as GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-QTOF, GC-FID, ELISA, and sample extraction methods, he continues to develop his skills in analytical testing, drug identification, and concentration determination. His coursework in areas such as analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, and physical chemistry has helped build a strong foundation in chemical analysis, biological systems, laboratory techniques, and scientific problem-solving.

He is especially interested in how toxicology connects science, medicine, and the legal system, and hopes to continue expanding his knowledge in pharmaceutical analysis, forensic toxicology, and laboratory-based research. He is eager to join the CFSRE because it offers the opportunity to expand his knowledge of forensic toxicology in a hands-on, professional setting.

He is excited to learn from experts in the field, become more familiar with advanced laboratory instrumentation, and better understand how forensic science is used to support real-world investigations. For him, this opportunity is an important step in developing his skills, strengthening his career goals, and pursuing an area of science he is truly passionate about.
