Claire Coppage is a recent graduate of Forensic Science from Virginia Commonwealth University with a minor in chemistry. She has a solid foundation in both chemistry and forensic evidence, with applied coursework in crime scene investigation, organic and analytical chemistry, pattern evidence, and microscopy. Claire excels in analytical environments where she can apply critical thinking, attention to detail, and scientific problem solving to complex forensic questions.

Recently, Claire completed a Forensic Chemistry Internship at the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education, where she gained hands-on experience with the methods, instrumentation, and quality standards used in the analysis of seized drugs. During the internship, she independently worked a case from initial analysis through final presentation, strengthening both her technical and scientific communication skills. This experience further solidified her passion for forensic chemistry and the role analytical science plays in criminal investigations.

As she begins her professional career, Claire is eager to continue expanding her knowledge and technical expertise within the forensic sciences. Her long-term goal is to become a forensic chemist, contributing reliable scientific findings that support investigations and help advance the pursuit of justice.
