Lauren Eccarius 2025 resizeLauren Eccarius earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science with a concentration in Forensic Chemistry from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in May 2023, graduating with Highest Distinction. In May 2025, she earned her Master of Science degree in Forensic Toxicology from Thomas Jefferson University, receiving the Jefferson College of Life Sciences Academic Achievement Award.

During her collegiate career, Lauren was an FBI Honors Intern for two years and three summers, working in the Science and Technology Branch at Headquarters in Washington, DC, a field office in Omaha, Nebraska, and the Research and Support Unit of the FBI Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia. She also worked as a part-time Graduate Assistant for the CFSRE during her graduate studies and, as a result, has now officially joined Dr. Alex Krotulski’s team as a full-time Forensic Toxicologist for the NPS Discovery program. She contributes to casework, clinical projects, metabolism research, and other endeavors.
