Graduate Assistant
Bella is a member of the CFSRE's NPS Discovery Toxicology team as a Graduate Assistant. Her work centers around NPS detection through sample/data mining, qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis of biological samples via LC-QTOF-MS, quantitation of biologics via LC-QQQ-MS, and method development/validation for numerous compounds via LC-QQQ-MS and DART-QQQ-MS.
Bella graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science - Chemistry. During her undergraduate career, Bella completed internships in both the toxicology and seized drugs units of the Orange County Crime Lab in Santa Ana, California. Her research included a seized drugs qualitative comparative study between LC-QTOF-MS and GC-MS, as well as a method validation for the quantification of carfentanil and fentanyl via LC-QQQ-MS. Bella will graduate with a Master of Science in Forensic Toxicology from Thomas Jefferson University in Spring of 2026.
