Forensic Chemist I
Angelique McDowell is a Forensic Chemist I at CFSRE. She is a member of the drug checking team within the NPS Discovery program, which supports harm reduction efforts by analyzing drug samples submitted by community-based organizations and public health agencies. Angelique earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Stockton University, where she gained hands-on experience in analytical and forensic techniques through academic coursework and laboratory roles.Her professional background includes conducting research on the detection of trace explosives and contraband at the Transportation Security Laboratory through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, as well as performing particle size analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients in her role as an Analytical Chemist prior to joining CFSRE. Passionate about harm reduction and public health, Angelique is committed to advancing analytical strategies that support rapid, evidence-based responses to the evolving drug landscape.
