
What You'll Do
As the Facility Administrator & Events Coordinator Support at the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education (CFSRE), you’ll be the cornerstone of daily operations, ensuring smooth coordination across front desk services, facility management, administrative support, and event coordination. This multifaceted role offers a unique opportunity to support both scientific innovation and educational programming in a dynamic nonprofit environment.
In this role, you will:
- Manage Front Desk Operations: Greet and check in visitors, handle incoming calls, and oversee package deliveries at multiple entry points.
- Coordinate Shared Facilities: Manage room scheduling, office equipment, and shared workspace needs for CFSRE and tenant organizations.
- Support Administrative Systems: Assist with IT ticketing, monitor the company inbox, and support programmatic needs such as classroom setup.
- Assist with Financial Data Entry: Help manage accounts payable/receivable, travel reimbursements, and banking tasks using QuickBooks.
- Support Events and Communications: Assist in the planning and execution of conferences, meetings, and employee events, as well as contribute to social media outreach and e-learning platforms.

Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business administrative discipline (preferred)
- 1–3 years of office administrative experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
- Excellent phone and in-person communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with D2L or similar learning management systems a plus
- Prior experience coordinating events or managing logistics is beneficial
