Remi Acord is a Sophomore Biochemistry major at Susquehanna University. Her undergraduate research is focused on the synthesis and characterization of conjugated organic dye molecules in order to eventually develop photosensitizers for solar cells that are more cost-efficient than currently available silicon-based solar panels. Remi is a forensic toxicology intern at CFSRE this summer. She has always shown a strong interest in the field of Forensics, especially toxicology, and hopes to learn about techniques used by toxicologists as well as how to spread awareness of drug abuse.
